SPEAKER_01Look how gas prices decreased over the past year since this president is in office. That's what she said. Ma'am. Out loud. We all we can first of all, can you you can see, right?

SPEAKER_01Uh everybody sees it. We feel it. Yeah. We see it, we feel it, we hear about it constantly on the news, your friends, yeah, family.
SPEAKER_00And we know that it's gonna fluctuate. Like that's just the reality of that's how gas always has been, right?
SPEAKER_01I have no problem with it fluctuating here and there, but the way like I mean, you know, it's quite it's a little bit different right now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and and we know why it's insane hate because he doesn't know how to shut the fuck up and just like yeah. And and okay, so also let's let's address the elephant in the room. We know that this isn't a political podcast, right? Correct. We but we also feel both we Casey and I were talking about this earlier, and we just feel like it's so important to keep these conversations going. Yeah. Whether or not it's uncomfortable or not, it's it's important to to keep talking about it because I think that as soon as we shut up about it, I mean, not that we're the only right going. There's a lot of people talking about it, but it's important to keep it going because as soon as we stop, that's when it's just like this is normal, so let's just keep going.
SPEAKER_01And we have to talk about it. First of all, it's what's happening in our world. We can't ignore it. Like you and I are not in the business of pretending like you know, this stuff doesn't happen and like sweeping it under the rug. Exactly. We're gonna talk about it. It's happening. Good, bad, and ugly. Also, too. Um, obviously, you guys know where we swing politically, but I think we would be having the same conversation if it was on the other side.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Wrong is wrong, right is right, good is good, and evil is evil. And regardless of where, you know, where anybody stands, like this is crazy to quote Quentin Tarantino. It is crazy to say that gas prices are decreasing. We can see both of these scenarios for what they are, and they're not legit, and so we're gonna call them out.
SPEAKER_00And just like we said, I'd think it was our second episode when we were talking about the Epstein files and everything, and like we haven't gotten much feedback as far as like the questions that we've posed to our listeners, but I'm really curious like what is it that that side is not seeing? Because I I just don't I mean, I have seen a bunch of super hardcore MAGA people are now like, okay, you've crossed the line, which I think is awesome. But just okay, so here here's a here's a for sure crossing the line. Okay. I'm gonna read this little blurb. Trump takes revenge against Catholics. The Trump administration has now abruptly canceled an $11 million contract with Catholic charities, cutting off care for vulnerable migrant children and ending a partnership that has existed for more than 60 years. And the timing is no coincidence.

SPEAKER_00This comes amid Trump's escalating feud with the Pope. What is it? The Pon Pontiff Pontiff. The pontiff spoke out against the war in Iran and called the peace for peace over violence. Trump responded by attacking the Pope publicly, mocking him, and even posting imagery depicting himself as Jesus, sparking outrage among Catholics worldwide. Now, one of the most respected Catholic humanitarian organizations in the country, praised as a natural national model for caring for children, is being stripped of funding. This looks less like policy and more like retaliation. Sure it is. This is what political war on Catholics looks like. And we just read that now the Pope's brother.
SPEAKER_01The Pope's brother, who I heard, and I don't know this, but I heard that he is actually a Trump supporter. I read that. I don't know how I'll treat you guys. Yeah. But that he literally like just got a bombbrette at his house.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I mean So where so where is why is that okay? It's not. But it is to a group of people. To a group of people, right? And so what is it that makes it where this is okay? But then, you know, I don't I don't even know. I can't even articulate these things because I my mind is just blown. Yeah. And and it's not because, oh, it's it's surprising, because it's nothing surprising surprises me anymore. I know. Like absolutely. Sadly, it does not surprise me either.
SPEAKER_01Um but it's it's surreal. Yeah. Right? Like how did we get this far? How how do we continue to like dig ourselves deeper and deeper and deeper into these same messes? It's it's a it's a vicious cycle that we're in, and it's really sad. I am team pope. I'm a I was, you know, born and raised Catholic. I don't necessarily practice anymore because there's a couple things that you know happened. Do you know? But just a few, right? The Catholic Church is not perfect. None none of them are. Uh-huh. Not pretend that they are. Yeah. But in this particular instance, like 100% I'm pro-Pope. This Pope, I like him. Okay.
SPEAKER_00I do too. I think he he's exactly what what you know that religion quote unquote needs. Um because he's he's very real, but he stands on his beliefs, and I think that's a beautiful thing. Well, he's progressive. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And well, in the Catholic Church, I mean it depends on you know where you are in the world and stuff, but they are so um, they're not progressive, right, you know, more or less. Right. He's very progressive, and I think that's great for the Catholic Church. They are losing people, they are used losing a lot of young people. And I think he's been fantastic to gain that audience back, to gain those parishioners back.
SPEAKER_00And and I think like religion, period, overall, no matter what it is, no matter where you line your truth with, yeah, I think that's it, it's important that we realize that we're all human. Right. Right? Number one first and foremost. First and foremost. And whether whatever you believe, like if you are a religious person, like you know that Jesus forgave you, right? So like it doesn't matter if you're black, brown, purple, green, no, whatever. It doesn't matter if you were born in America.
SPEAKER_01It doesn't all those things. But think about this. We're all a product of the religion that we were born into. Correct. And a lot of that is just geographic, geographical, right? Or, you know, it's you know, if we were somewhere else, we'd be Muslim, if we were somewhere else, we'd be Buddhist, if we were somewhere else, we'd be whatever we are.
SPEAKER_00So But also, why does that matter to so many people? It should why I don't know. I don't people are weird. I have a really hard time with like, and again, we've we've touched on this a little. I I consider myself a Christian. Yeah, like I'm probably not the epitome of what a lot of people think a Christian should be. I cuss a lot, I I believe in rights for LGBTQ, like all of that, trans rights, all of those things, because so you're Jesus would want that as well. Yes, and and again, I I understand that that's gonna ruffle some feathers, and that's fine. That's okay. But when when Trump posted this AI thing depicting himself as Jesus, I can't and then tried to backtrack and say it was him as a doctor. Okay, well, doctors don't wear cloaks and have clothes. But we all but again, we all saw it.
SPEAKER_01So what is the what is the thing with like less look, I don't want you to believe what you saw. Right. Give me a break.
SPEAKER_00He's a well, and that's the thing. It's so so someone said Joel Joel Webbin, he said, I genuinely believe Trump is currently demon-possessed, and then someone rebuttal with conservative Christians will believe Trump has suddenly become demon-possessed before they'll admit that they simply voted for a sociopathic pedophile. Right. And I think that is so true because I think for a lot of people it is true. Yes. If anyone, anyone, I don't care if you were the president or someone in his cabinet or any of that, if anyone else had posted that, there would be I mean, riots. Oh, it would it would be January 6th, all over. All over again. And be right back to where we started.
SPEAKER_01But why does he get that pass? I don't know. I don't know because I don't really understand that. Right. It just doesn't make sense.
SPEAKER_00Yes. And there's nothing wrong. Let's let's just say, let's just put this out there. There's nothing wrong with sitting back and being like, you know what? I made a mistake voting for him. Yeah. I made a mistake supporting him this slump. We'll love you. We'll we'll still love you. We'll love you, we'll accept you. I probably won't let you around my kids, but I'll you you can you can say I made a mistake and then you can move on from there. But isn't that I mean, it it's evolution, right?
SPEAKER_01Like we have to evolve. You can believe him now, you know, then, and then go, okay, this time, no, he's wrong. Yes, yes. That's okay to change your mind. And I don't understand where this I don't I don't understand the thing where it's like, nope, this is me, this is what I believe, or this is me, this is what I'm doing, and that's it. No matter what. Right. You know, it's stupid. And but particularly politics. Uh-huh. I think there is an ebb and a flow. We have to be able to to stand firm in our beliefs, but we also have to be able to go, okay, he that was then, and this is now. Yes.
SPEAKER_00People change, circumstances change. Well, and the same thing, just like when Obama in both terms, there are things that I didn't a hundred percent agree with. Of course. And I would say that. Oh, yeah, I don't I don't think that's the best, but what do I know, right? I I get but when it comes to just basic human rights and and just not being a pile of shit human being, right? I think that that we're so far past that. I mean, we've said this a million times. This all feels like a bad movie. Yeah. Like it feels like uh I don't even know who's a bad who's a bad director. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? Not yeah, not quite.
SPEAKER_01But this is this is, and this is what I say. We can argue over, you know, taxes and like certain that like we can argue over that stuff all day long. But what we cannot argue over is like human decency, equality, human rights, treating people right, sexual assault, sexual predator, like those things, there's no wiggle room there. Yeah. And that's where we are. And I think that's the difference of sexual assault. Oh my gosh. You guys, this is so gross. I don't know if you guys okay, it's it's kind of new, so I don't know if everybody's on it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I didn't hear of it until you mentioned it. Yeah. And it makes me like literally sick to my stomach. So if you are uneasy about stuff like this or you it's a trigger for you, yeah, sign off now because it's it's disgusting.
SPEAKER_01So apparently there was an online rape school. What are they calling it? Like university? Um, it's a global online rape academy. 62 million views, which is disgusting. It's it's global. But give some background about what it is exactly. Um Well, it is a site where men are sharing stories, videos, pictures, tips on how to drug and essay their wives, partners, whoever, right giving each other tips. Um they swap evidence or advice on drugging and they film it. Everybody comments. Uh, it is literally, quite literally, a step-by-step on drugs, like how much you administer, what kind, what how much to administer, uh the side effects, how long you have before the drugs stop working to sexually assault your partner.
SPEAKER_00Tell me a billion views. I also just want to know, like, like oh, I'm hot. I'm I know sweaty from just thinking about this. Yeah. This is why we choose the bear, by the way. Right. Yes.

SPEAKER_00I I don't understand. I mean, I don't and I don't think we ever will, right? We just like we said with the Epstein files and all, like, we'll never fully comprehend it because not not just because we don't agree with it, but because like how how is this okay? How is the president of the United States still in office when he is in these files or or anybody that's in it doesn't again, and we said this countless times. Thousand times. It doesn't matter who is in it, you deserve to rot. Absolutely. I mean, if I could castrate all these oh my god, if I just I would. Think about this though.
SPEAKER_01You've got all these men participating. Okay. So, like it's one thing like this sick dude and this sick dude over here, and then this sick dude over here, and I get it, right? But to imagine that 62 million people. 62 million. Now, some of that might have been curiosity, although I cannot understand why in the world you would even subscribe to this.
SPEAKER_00I couldn't watch shit. Even for like research purposes, like to for us to like what I don't even want to do research, we try to like kind of educate ourselves on the things that we're gonna talk about because we don't know shit. We really don't. Yeah, we like we say it all we don't know, we don't anything about anything, but we do try to educate ourselves just to be like, okay, let's pick these topics, let's discuss them. Yeah. But even for education purposes, I couldn't bring myself to watch that because one, it makes me sick just thinking about it. These poor women that are going through this. And I just I I just don't know.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I just it it it it just it astounds me that all of these men can do it. And another in another group, maybe they're not doing it, but they're watching it. That means they're co-signing. Uh-huh. Yeah, right? Yeah, they're not it it's not wrong to them, or it's wrong, but there's they're so like titillated by the idea that like it's wrong, but it's exciting.
SPEAKER_00Well, and why is that why is that not like a um what's the word? Uh like oh my god. Like if someone has child porn, why is that not part of that kind of realm of things like that should be il illegal? You know what I mean? Well, yeah, that's just uh yeah. That's what I I, you know, when you read things or see things that, you know, somebody, especially because it when like molestation happens, it's normally like within a week. Okay, so I'm part of the threads community. Um, and this one woman said yesterday I read it, and she's like, Okay, they're doing that. I'm gonna put it all in on the table. Women drop the name or essays. Yeah. Alexis. The list. I clicked on it. I was like, oh my gosh. These women were like, I've gotten at this point, I've nothing left to lose. And they were just dropping, dropping, dropping, dropping. And it's not people that Have been like prosecuted and you're in jail for a million dollars. Oh, you know what? Ted down the street. Yeah, Ted down the street. My friend's dad over there did, you know, A, B, C, and D. Or like, um, I live in, you know, Springfield, Ohio, and um John App that works at you know the 76th gas station on the corner of First and Maine, he did, you know, A, B, C, D, and da-da-da back in 1996 at a party. They are name dropping first names, last names, the list goes on and on. I don't know, I don't know if these men will ever find their names in this or if anything will happen.
SPEAKER_00But you know what? But it has to be a little. I'm I'm fortunate enough that nothing like that has happened to me. Yeah, I'm I'm thankful for that, and I'm so sorry for any women or men that have gone through this and n justice hasn't been served for you. That's makes me super heartbroken, and I just I can't imagine. But it has to be freeing in a way, like not that it makes up for anything, or you know, if they're not brought to justice, you know, but just to put it out there, especially if you kept it a secret, right? Or you like that to me is and some of them have, some of them have been keeping it a secret, and others have told.

Because you're you know, like we're we're raising them, right? It's our duty, not not saying raised correctly or sure anything like that. Our duty to know it doesn't matter if the second someone says no, yeah, you stop. Like I don't care if it's your girlfriend, boyfriend, whatever you stop immediately. And it and I just I don't know, I guess it's just I think again, it needs to we need to keep having these conversations. We need to we need to be comfortable with the uncomfortable.

I mean, it's a concept that like a two or three-year-old can understand. Certainly, you know, a teenager or a grown-ass adult can understand that no means no.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But I I guess again, comes down to we we will never understand it because we just that's we're not in that realm of sickness. And it is a sickness. It is, and but but that's not an excuse. No, right? It's not like you have a sickness, you have something wrong with you. Uh yeah. That you want to touch young children or you want to assault someone to get your kicks, drug your partner without their knowledge. The best way to do it. That is bizarre. Yeah. That is bizarre. But I feel just like when Trump first started his campaign before his first uh term, like it and I always say this, you know, m my husband's black, I'm Mexican, I my family is super blended, all of that, and you know, I'm not naive to the fact that racism has never gone away. It never will, right? Correct. But that doesn't mean or or what when he was running, that's what he ran on. And then it gave it gave all these racist fucks a pass to be out in the open. Right. Because they no longer well, if he's saying it's okay, then I'm gonna be out in the open about it. And that's where we're at with all this pedophilia and yes, and I agree, I agree, sexual assaults and because it's just oh well, I mean, if the president can get away with it, then why can't I? Yeah, but and that's the truth. That is so true. And again, not saying, oh, go for it. I'm just I'm make my point is yeah where there's no there's no rule anymore.
SPEAKER_01No feels like there's no it's it's it's just one and then you know you cross your fingers and hope that you don't get caught. Yeah. Or that, you know, if you're outed, that you know, it's not that bad. Right. It's just not that bad. Well, yeah, to somebody it is. Yeah. It is that bad.
SPEAKER_00And it doesn't it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter the age of the person. I mean, let me let me I know what you mean. Let me take that back. It's bad in all right, is what when it's when it's your partner or somebody, yes, that's still sexual assault. Like, yes, of course it is, especially if you're drugging and filming it without consent. I mean, if you're into filming that kind of stuff, that's your prerogative. Yeah. I don't want to watch myself. That's thank you. But you're doing it without consent, you're doing it and you're being disgusting about it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and there's a lot of violence associated with it too. So it's not just a, you know, not like it's just it's wrong on every single level.
SPEAKER_00And I But I'm like they get a pass now because of where we're at, because of the climate we're in right now.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, everything is sort of okay. Well, it's like well, I mean it's like anything else, right? And we always talk about California to Texas and vice versa and whatever. You know, there's certain things that like are more laxed. Yeah. You know, here and I don't know. There's just like an easy breeziness to it that that like back home, it's like, oh my god, nobody would ever say that. Right. Like we like you know, just it's uncouth and you don't say those things and it's offensive and da da da like, but here it's so plentiful and nobody really bats an eye, like an authority figure, right? No authority figure really steps up and says, hey, that's wrong, or whatever. They're doing it too. So it just kind of is like par for the course. And I think that that's really wrong. Where if you if I heard it somewhere else, it'd be like, oh my gosh, yeah, don't say that.

I know that we have a few that you know, there's people that especially like now in this political climate, that people are like, no, I don't care what side I'm on, that's wrong, which I think is great because that's where we should be. Yeah. I just I know this was a heavy one, but it was necessary, right? Yeah. To talk about it. We need to we need to keep these discussions open. We need to keep it going. No, number one, that you're not alone and may feel like it, especially because of everything that's in our face all day, every day. But it's important, you know, stay strong. Don't give up. You're not on your own. Yeah.
